Amazon Mask
Believe it or not this beautiful mask use to be an old, dusty cracked mask that sat in the corner of the art room for many years until one day I found it and decided to use it for my latest project since we were assigned to make masks anyways. I resurrected it by covering it with two layers of paper mache, painted it white, decorated it, tied the strings that it originally came with back on, mounted it on a frame that I made out of wood and cardboard and waalaa, it became the Amazon Mask! My art teacher was so impressed that he decided to showcase it in the Building a Bridge art show that took place at the Douglas Reynolds Gallery down on Granville street during January 24-31st 2005. It's the first art show my work has ever been it.=)
