What is Cosplay?
Good question! Cosplay is short for "costume play" where one dresses up in costume and accessories to a specific character. These characters usually come from an anime, manga, video game, novel, comic book, graphic novel series or fantasy/sci fi movies. These cosplayers form a subculture centered around wearing their costumes and reenact scenes from the series or behave like the character that they're cosplaying. Yes its true, I did paint my face, neck and arms blue and cosplayed as Baryl from Interstella 5555. Am I crazy? Least my costume and wig didn't make me boil in the summer sun. I didn't paint my palms blue, but I still managed to turn everything blue that I touched. That's why I've decided to attach blue sleeves and gloves to my costume to solve this problem as I plan to wear it in the future.
